In Time Only mode, if the end time is earlier than or equal to the start time, it's assumed to be the next day — so 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM correctly calculates as 8 hours, not a negative duration.

Decimal hours expresses a duration like 7 hours 30 minutes as 7.5 — the format most timesheets and payroll systems expect instead of hours and minutes separately.

When should I use Date & Time Range instead of Time Only?+
